Edinburgh, Scotland’s Heart of Midlothian Football Club, also referred to as Hearts, is a professional football team. The team plays in Scotland’s premier football division, the Scottish Premiership. The Scottish capital’s most illustrious and established football team, Hearts, was founded in 1874 and took its name from Walter Scott’s novel The Heart of Midlothian.[4] The team’s colors are maroon and white, and the club crest is modeled from the Heart of Midlothian mosaic found on the city’s Royal Mile.[4]

Since 1886, Hearts have held their home games at Tynecastle Park.[5] The stadium was transformed into an all-seater venue in 1990, and after a reconstructed main stand was finished in 2017, its capacity is currently 19,852[1]. They operate their youth academy and have training facilities in Scotland’s national performance center for sport, the Oriam.[6]
