Report Oklahoma Closing Secret Deal To Sign Alabama MVP In A Blockbuster Trade
This past week was yet another hectic period for Oklahoma and Brent Venables in terms of recruiting.
Along with the Sooners’ official SEC membership on Monday, OU also added to its class of 2025 recruits, continued to be considered for a gifted in-state prospect, and in the last seven days, offered scholarships to many high school athletes.
Oklahoma is in a strong position as it moves into its new conference, with the early signing period for the 2025 recruiting class more than five months away.
Omarion Robinson, a 4-star defensive back from Parkview, Arkansas, announced his commitment to Oklahoma on Saturday afternoon.
Robinson, who stands six feet tall and weighs 185 pounds, is ranked by Rivals as the nation’s No. 121 overall prospect and No. 15 safety. The Little Rock, Arkansas, native narrowed his list of potential colleges to four earlier this month and ultimately decided on the Sooners over Oregon, LSU, and Arkansas.
In Jay Valai and Brandon Hall’s 2025 defensive back class, Robinson joins four-star cornerback Trystan Haynes of Carl Albert (OK), four-star safety Marcus Wimberly of Bauxite (AR), four-star defensive back Courtland Guillory of Klein Oak (TX), and four-star cornerback Maliek Hawkins of Emerson (TX).
